Welcome
Welcome to Walton-Verona High School. I am Jamiee Sampson, the instructor for English III Comp, English IV, English 101, Engilsh 102, Journalism/Yearbook, as well as sponsor of Senior Beta, adviser to our district newsletter "The Mirror," and High School English Department Head.
On a personal note, I have been teaching since 2005; thirteen of those years being here at Walton-Verona High School, a school I take great pride in being a faculty member. My passion for teaching began at the age of 17 and that passion has not changed. I greatly love the field of education and most of that is attributed to the life-changing relationships I have developed over the years. My life motto has always followed an anonymous quote, "A life lived for others is the only life worth living."
It is evident with the current circumstances that surround us, education does not appear in the same way it has over my fifteen years of experience. All of us, including myself, have had to learn to adapt. What has not changed is my goal in delivering education in a way we maintain a distinction of excellence.
