School Food Service Program
Walton-Verona Schools are dedicated to serving nutritious meals and providing multiple physical activity opportunities as a means of helping our students reach proficiency.

Our Food & Nutrition Services Department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students’ health, well-being, and ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Meals, foods, and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students. Program regulations do not allow for meal charges; therefore, it is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to pay for the meals a child purchases in advance or daily. Students that do not keep up with charges will receive a charge letter and or phone call. If there is no attempt to reconcile charges, students may be prohibited from attending and/or participating in extra-curricular activities/events. Students will not be able to charge any extras or al la carte items. If parents would like to limit al la carte purchases this must be communicated to Food Service Director or School Cafeteria Managers to restrict student accounts.

Parents of students with special dietary needs are encouraged to complete the Medical Statement and submit it to the school nurse.
