Almost all of the senior citizens who have benefited from Wake Up Walton have signed up! Now we need the volunteers to sign up! Please form a team or you can join as an individual and we’ll place you on one. You can stop in the front office to get a signup sheet. In order to get the free t-shirt, you need to sign up by Wednesday, April 28.
Prom is Friday, April 23rd 9-midnight at the Prickle Barn in Verona.
Prom tickets are on sale this week. Tickets are $30 cash or check. See Mrs. Mahoney or Mrs. Koester before or after school to purchase your ticket.
Project Prom is Friday 4/23 from midnight -4am here at school. All juniors and seniors are invited! You do not have to attend the prom to attend project prom. See Mrs. Mayer to sign up for a fun evening of games and prizes!
The annual WVHS Talent Show is May 7th at 7 PM in the Commons. Auditions for this year’s talent show are April 22nd from 3-5 in the Commons. The sign-up sheet is posted on the band room door.

· NCKC Tennis Tournament: Congratulations to Ben E. for his victory in the NCKC Tournament yesterday, as well as Jacob M. and Aiden S. in the doubles match.
o Today at the complex will be the Semi Finals and finals of both the boys and girls tournament.
· The softball team will play at Eminence tonight in the Semi Finals of the 8th Region Tournament.
· The Varsity Baseball team improved to 8-1 on the year with a win over Carroll County 11-0 yesterday in the semi-finals of the 8th Region All A Tournament:
o Nick A. threw a no-hitter for the Bearcats striking out 14 batters. That’s the Bearcats second no-hitter in a row and fourth of the season.
o The Bearcats host the All A Finals today at 5:30 v. Trimble County.

Varsity Softball team defeated Eminence 5-3 in 9 innings last night in the opening round of the 8th Region All “A” Tournament.
o The softball team will play at Eminence on Thursday in the Semi Finals of the 8th Region Tournament.
· The Varsity Baseball team improved to 7-1 on the year with a win over Williamstown 11-0 yesterday in the first round of the 8th Region All A Tournament:
o Travis S. threw his third consecutive no-hitter tonight against Williamstown striking out 16 batters in the first round of the all a tournament.

Here’s something you didn’t know you knew: Today is Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day, Ramadan begins at sundown and the state bird of Montana is the Western Meadowlark.
Athletic Announcements:
·Over the weekend the Boys and Girls Track teams competed in the Coaches Classic at Taylor HS in Ohio
o The Boys were led by 1st place finishes from Zane P. in the 200 and 400 and Christian D. in the 110 and 300 Hurdles. Sophomore Grady S. also finished 2nd in the 110 Hurdles for the Bearcats.
o On the Girls side, Maggie B. led the way taking 2nd at Shot Put. High Jumper Natalie H. finished in 3rd overall with a leap of 4 feet 8 inches and both the 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams finished in third.
o The Bearcats are back in again Tuesday for a meet a Grant County. Great job to all!
· The Varsity Softball team plays in the 8th Region All “A” Tournament tonight at Eminence.
· The Varsity Baseball team had a great Spring Break. They now stand 6-1 on the season, with a big district win over Simon Kenton.
